Shopify app · by DIY Balloon Studio
Let your customers design the bouquet.
Balloon Bouquet Maker adds a drag-and-drop bouquet builder to your Shopify store. Customers pick a size, fill it with your balloons, choose a weight and string color, and add the whole bouquet to their cart in one tap. You get the exact balloons and a picture of the design.

Fill it with your balloons
Customers drag balloons into place or tap to fill the next spot. They see your real products at their true relative size, and the total adds up as they go.
-
Add it to the cart
They choose an anchor weight and a string color, then add the whole bouquet in one tap. A picture of the design comes with the order.

Features
Made for the way balloon shops sell
-
Looks like your shop
Your fonts, colors and button text, with a live preview. Add the builder to any page from the theme editor.
-
Your real products
Build from the products or collections you choose. Every color or variant is its own balloon, priced from your store.
-
Balloons at true size
Photos appear at their real relative sizes, so a big foil heart looks big and an 11-inch latex looks small.
-
Stock-aware
Sold-out balloons are greyed out, and customers can't use more of a balloon than you have in stock.
-
Smart anchor weights
Big or heavy bouquets get a large sand weight automatically. Weights too light to hold them are greyed out.
-
The design on every order
Each order comes with a picture of what the customer built, so your team can arrange it exactly like that.
-
Quick to browse
Search and category filters help customers find the right balloon, even in a big catalog.
-
Made for phones
The bouquet stays pinned at the top while customers scroll. Tap to add, or press and hold to drag.

Who it's for
Built for balloon pros
- Balloon retailers who want customers to design bouquets online instead of describing them over the phone.
- Decorators and party planners who want every order to say exactly what to build.
- Florists and gift shops with a balloon range they want to sell in a more hands-on way.
Your customers stop guessing, and your team stops chasing details. The order arrives with the balloons, the quantities, the weight, the string color and a picture to build from.
Pricing
One plan with everything included
- All 11 bouquet sizes, from 3 to 50 balloons
- Your fonts, colors and button text
- A picture of each design on the order
- Billed by Shopify, on your Shopify bill
- Cancel any time by uninstalling the app
Setup guide
Set it up in about ten minutes
Everything you need to get the builder live on your store.
-
Install and open the app
Install Balloon Bouquet Maker from the Shopify App Store, then open it from the Apps list in your Shopify admin. The Home page shows a short checklist.
On first open, the app adds one sample product, a Large Sand Weight, so everything works right away. You can edit its price and photo, or delete it, at any time.
-
Start your free trial
On the app's Home page, click View plans and choose the Standard plan. Your 5-day free trial starts right away. The builder stays paused on your storefront until a plan is active.
-
Choose your balloons
Open Settings. Under Balloon products, click Choose products or Choose collections and pick the balloons customers can build with. Every variant of a product, such as each color, appears as its own balloon.
Customers can only use as many of a balloon as you have in stock.
-
Choose your anchor weights
Under Anchor weights, pick the products customers can use to weigh their bouquet down. Under Large sand anchor weights, pick your heavy weights. The builder uses one automatically when a bouquet is too big for a small weight, and greys out the small ones.
-
Match your brand
In Settings → Appearance, choose a font, colors and the button text. A live preview shows your changes. Click Save when you're happy. You can also turn the small "Powered by" logo on or off.
-
Add the builder to a page
- Go to Online Store → Themes → Customize.
- Open or create the page you want, for example "Build a bouquet".
- Click Add section (or Add block), choose Apps, then Bouquet Maker.
- Click Save.
If your theme's header stays at the top of the screen on phones, set Space for a sticky header on phones in the block's settings so the pinned bouquet sits just below it.
-
Make sizes and weights come out right
The builder draws each balloon at its true relative size and works out how much lift a bouquet has, so it can choose a heavy enough weight.
- Put the size in the product name, for example "Coral Orbz Balloon (15 Inch)" or "Heart Foil Balloon 30"". Sizes are also read from tags, the SEO title and the description. Feet work too ("6 ft").
- Balloons with no size are drawn at a standard 12 inches.
-
Optional tags:
lift:2 ozorlift:40 gsets a balloon's lift exactly, andno-heliummarks a balloon as air-filled.
-
Customers and the cart
When a customer taps the button, each kind of balloon is added to the cart as a normal line, along with the anchor weight. Each line shows the bouquet size and string color, so your team knows what to assemble.
Choose how the design picture is attached in Settings → Order details:
- Free line item with the picture (default). Customers see a free "Bouquet design: arrange exactly like this picture" line in their cart, and your team sees a Design picture link on the order. It is one small free product (no shipping, no tax) that the app creates once and reuses, kept out of your shop listings. Please don't delete it; the app would simply recreate it. Shopify counts any line as one item sold, even at $0, so filter by product type "Bouquet design" to leave these out of reports.
- Picture link on the order only. The picture is saved as a link in the order details (the "_bouquet_picture" detail on the first balloon line). Nothing extra is added, so item counts, taxes and sales reports are not affected. Customers don't see the picture in their cart.
- Don't add a picture.
Show the picture in the cart (optional)
To show the picture as a small thumbnail in the cart, go to Online Store → Themes → Customize, open App embeds, and turn on Bouquet picture in cart. It works on the cart page and in cart drawers.
Where pictures are kept
Pictures are saved in Content → Files, named like "bbm-design-ab12cd.jpg". The app clears out pictures once they are more than 90 days old, so picture links on older orders can stop working. Save a copy of any picture you want to keep. Inventory, taxes and discounts work as they do for any product.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to know how to code?
No. You pick your balloons in the app, then add the Bouquet Maker block to a page in the Shopify theme editor.
Does it work with my theme?
It works with themes that support app blocks (Online Store 2.0), which includes most modern Shopify themes.
The builder isn't showing on my store. What should I check?
- A plan is active. Open the app and, if you see "Choose a plan", click View plans. The builder pauses until a plan is active.
- You've chosen balloon products and anchor weights in the app's Settings.
- The Bouquet Maker block is on a page in Online Store → Themes → Customize, and you clicked Save.
Can customers order more balloons than I have in stock?
No. For any product with tracked inventory, the builder stops at what you have and checks live stock again when the bouquet is added to the cart.
What does my team see on the order?
Each balloon as a normal line with its quantity, the anchor weight, the bouquet size and string color, and a picture of the design with a note to arrange it that way.
Will the design picture affect my sales reports or taxes?
It's your choice. As a free line item it is $0 and not taxed, but Shopify counts any line as one item sold. If you'd rather avoid that, choose the link-only option in Settings → Order details.
Does it handle helium and weights?
It estimates how much lift a bouquet has and picks a large sand weight automatically when a small weight wouldn't hold it. You can tag products with their lift, or mark them as air-filled. See step 7 of the setup guide.
What are the "Large Sand Weight" and "Bouquet design" products in my store?
On first open, the app adds one sample Large Sand Weight so everything works right away. You can edit or delete it. With the default picture option, the app also creates one free, hidden Bouquet design product that carries the picture on each order. Please don't delete that one.
How much does it cost, and how do I cancel?
$9 a month with a 5-day free trial, billed by Shopify on your Shopify bill. To cancel, uninstall the app from your Shopify admin.
How do you handle data?
The app doesn't read or store your customers' personal information. Read the full privacy policy.
